An exceptional touring program designed exclusively for guests, is included in your luxury wilderness experience at Longitude 131°. For those looking for a custom and personalised itinerary, optional tours are also available.


Please Note: Tours are scheduled on a 2 day rotational basis for a specific time and date. Tour times are seasonal and subject to sunrise and sunset times which vary throughout the year, weather permitting. Additional costs apply to private dining and the optional tours highlighted in the sample itinerary.


Sample Itinerary

Valid from 1st April 2012

Day 1 - Mala Walk & Kantju Gorge Sunset and Dinner in the Dune House

Dining in the Dune House, Longitude 131°

After arriving at Longitude 131° and settling in, meet in the Dune House two hours before sunset to depart for Uluru, where we will take a short walk and learn the story of the Mala Man and then proceed into Kantju Gorge. On arrival at the gorge we will serve refreshments 'inside' Uluru and watch the sunset. You will return to Longitude 131° approximately 40 minutes after sunset.

On your return, relax in the Dune House over pre-dinner drinks before enjoying a gourmet dinner at leisure. For a special occasion consider a private dinner by the pool or on the Dune Top.

Day 2 - Uluru Sunrise Base Tour & Cultural Centre and Table 131°

Sunrise over Uluru, Longitude 131°

Depart the Dune House one hour before sunrise for Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to view the sun rising over Uluru. Starting from the sacred site of Kuniya Piti we head to the Mutitjulu Waterhole where our guides will share the Kuniya Liru Story as the sunrise develops the haunting shadows behind us.

After a short drive to the Cultural Centre viewing area, you will enjoy a light breakfast. You will then have time to enjoy a leisurely walk through the Cultural Centre where you will learn the cultural and spiritual meanings of Uluru & Kata Tjuta, and have the option of purchasing some local aboriginal art works and souvenirs. You will return to Longitude 131 at 10.30am.

Afternoon

Spend your afternoon at leisure or take the opportunity to enjoy any of our optional tours, such as a camel ride, harley ride or helicopter tour over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. (charges apply)

Evening - Uluru Sunset & Table 131°

This evening you will depart one hour before sunset bound for the Uluru sunset viewing area. You will then be transferred to our outdoor dining venue, where you'll have an unforgettable dining experience under the stars. Return to the Dune House for complimentary after dinner drinks.

Day 3 - Kata Tjuta & Walpa Gorge

Kata Tjuta

Depart Longitude 131° at 6.30am bound for Kata Tjuta. Upon arrival you will begin your journey with a guided tour of Walpa Gorge, where the natural history of Kata Tjuta is explained in great detail, learning how eons of weathering and continental upheaval have created what is seen today. You will return to Longitude 131° at approximately 10.30am for a well-earned breakfast. For early risers breakfast is available pre-tour from 5.45am.

Afternoon & Evening

An airport transfer will be organised to meet your flight if you are departing after 2 nights.

Alternatively, staying a third night at Longitude 131° offers you the ability to really relax and take in the beauty of Australia's Red Centre. Spend your afternoon at leisure. In the evening enjoy a private dinner by the pool or a gourmet dinner in the Dune House.
