Forget pitching your own tent and cooking over the fire, Longitude 131° takes glamorous camping, or "glamping", to another level.

Each of the 15 luxury tents has a white dome roof with flowing fabric draped to create the illusion of camping. HOW TO GET THERE?

Uluru (Ayers Rock) is located in the Red Centre of Australia, in the Northern Territory. Qantas Airways and Virgin Blue both fly into Uluru - Ayers Rock Airport. Direct flights into Ayers Rock Airport are available from Sydney, Cairns, Perth and Alice Springs. Flight times are approx 3 hours from Sydney, Cairns and Perth and 1 hour from Alice Springs.

International guests may like to consider a Qantas Aussie AirPass or Virgin Blue Airpass for a more convenient way to include Uluru (Ayers Rock) in their itinerary.

A complimentary return 4wd transfer will take you from Ayers Rock Airport to Longitude 131°, the short transfer meets every scheduled flight.

ABOUT ULURU-KATA TJUTA NATIONAL PARK

The World Heritage-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park covers an area over 311,000 acres. Uluru (Ayers Rock) - is one of the world's largest monoliths. Uluru is 348 metres at its tallest point: 43 metres higher than Sydney's Centrepoint Tower, 24 metres higher than the Eiffel Tower, and just 33 metres lower than the Empire State Building.

Kata Tjuta, known also as The Olgas, is the Aboriginal name, which means "many heads'. It is a group of more than 30 rounded red domes rising from the desert floor. The tallest is said to be around 546 metres high. Kata Tjuta is about 30 kilometres west of Uluru.
